About the House
We have loved living with beautiful sea views especially at sunrise and sunset when the birds (from the purple crested loerie to the local franklin, we have a rich bird life here) are at their singing best, swimming in the warm Indian Ocean all year round and walking on the beach 350m away. Our home is built to enjoy our family in all forms of weather from swimming in the pool, braaing burgers on a Friday with family and friends, practising our putting along the side of the house and bird and whale watching from the deck. To cooking while we chat or watch a show in the open plan living area to quietly reading a book on the enclosed verandah section. This is a home for all seasons and perfectly suits a multigenerational gathering or retreats! We look forward to sharing all the love and joy we have put into our home with you and your family or clients!
Take a Tour
So if you feel like taking a break and just relaxing at home with family and friends or a pet or two, then enjoy our pool, or light up the fire pit or braai and read a book or listen to the birds and spot a whale or dolphin from the deck. And after a trip to the beach, take a shower in the outside shower or loll in the bath with a view and climb into crisp white linen sheets and fall asleep to the sound of the waves nearby.
All these activities could be adapted for hosting groups or retreats as I have done professionally.

Attractions and Amenities
If staying at home is not your thing, or if you need a bit of excitement or entertainment for your retreat participants, then our home has so many beautiful offerings: play golf at one of the many world class golf courses (Simbithi, Zimbali, Umhlali and Prince’s Grant), or go cycling at Holla Trails, or swim, surf, paddle or fish at the beach and explore our many different little beaches and enjoy the Ballito Pro in July. Or if you are a foodie, we can highly recommend our local restaurants. Or if you are into birding we can put you in touch with a great bird guide. Or drive 2 hours north to Umfolozi Game Reserve and spot the big 5. Or a little retail shopping at one of our lovely malls, some especially aimed at beachware and for the kids their are many, many options.
